I Built an OS for Creative Precincts | CP-OS First Drop

I've been sitting on this for a while. I've been quietly building something that isn't art (still related to it tho), and I'm kinda nervous to talk about it, I guess it’s because of the effect that “Social Media” is having on me? (I’ll park this for another story).
Most of you know me through my art: murals, illustrations, design, Kayapa, La Crème, and some BAD stuff. What fewer people know is that I've spent the last bunch of years trying to figure out how to actually coordinate and support a creative precinct (or such) and its residents, without losing my hopes — and my mind / mood.
Not the creative part. That part I know.
The other part. The grants that need countless hours of tracking, the events that need publishing, the directory that allows artists and business connect and be found, the reporting that takes weeks to pull together because the data is across four different tools and nobody could update the spreadsheet.
That's the part that was quietly eating me.
So I built a system. Using Notion. Started as something to help coordinating Brookvale Arts District (BAD), a way to keep activations, people, events, money, and comms in one place instead of scattered everywhere. Tested it for years. Broke it. Fixed it. Kept using it.
I'm now turning it into something other precincts and hubs can use too.
It's called Creative Precinct OS (CP-OS) — at least for now.
Not custom software. Not another app subscription. Just a solid, tested Notion workspace, built from the real experience of coordinating activations in a real place. Anyone running a creative district, arts hub, or cultural program can duplicate it and make it their own. It’s modular, so it works for the people running the place and the creatives working in it too.
I'll be dropping the first module in the next hours. Free. No catch.
More modules soon. But I wanted to say it out loud first, because it felt weird to just start posting about a "product" without telling you where it came from. Specially so anyone with the strength and determination out there who is coordinating or managing a district or precinct project can try it and give me some feedback.
This comes from over 10 years of trying to keep a creative community alive without letting the admin kill the whole thing.
Hopefully we start seeing more creative precincts and hubs all around connecting with each other, the benefits for the community are endless. ✌️
